da Vinci Cup 94 Pits Sons Against Fathers

Da Vinci Cup 94 was a fun, family competition with everyone playing hard for the top prize. Pictured on the right is Erin McNany competing in Settlers of Catan. Bottom right is Terry Josselyn trying to 'out strategize' his son Jesse.

The fourth da Vinci Cup was held in the queen city December 23 through December 26. After a humiliating defeat in da Vinci Cup 93 Rob Davis stormed back to rip the cup out of Linda Leavitt's hands in da Vinci Cup 94. Hannah Davis came in at the bottom of the pile to win her second booby prize. Also, for the first time in da Vinci Cup history, cup statistician, Jesse Josselyn, presented the 'Top Family' award to the family with the highest average score. The Top Family award for da Vinci Cup 94 went to Chris 'silver boy' Fox and Katie Fox.

Da Vinci Cup 94 also had the largest field of contestants with 15 individuals competing for the cup.

Bowling Makes Debut in da Vinci Cup 94

In an effort to broaden the appeal of the da Vinci Cup, bowling was added as a new challenge activity in da Vinci Cup 94. The new activity was well received by contestants.

da Vinci Cup Rocked By Photo Scandal

During a December 2009 internal audit $384 was found missing from the da Vinci Cup operating budget. The da Vinci Cup auditor initiated an investigation and proceeded to interview employees and executive committee members. The auditor, in conjunction with local authorities, was making good progress on the investigation when the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department received an anonymous package which included receipts and photographs of da Vinci Cup executive committee members carousing around the City of Charlotte in a chauffeur driven limousine.

The photographs are a 'smoking gun' showing members of the executive committee spending da Vinci Cup funds on inappropriate social activities. These three photographs were released to the public by the police and charges are being considered.

Da Vinci Cup contestants Jennie and Caleb Davis have demanded the resignations of all da Vinci Cup executive committee members captured in the photographs. However, Jesse Josselyn, clearly depicted in some of the scandalous photos said: 'The move made by Jennie and Caleb is a boatload of crap. Clearly this is a case of sour grapes since those two were the last place finishers in the most recent da Vinci Cup. They need to stop calling their lawyers and spend more time practicing their Nertz'.

The third da Vinci Cup challenge was held in Charlotte, North Carolina December 21 through 23 with our largest field of contestants yet. Competition arrived from states as far north as Massachusetts and in a stunning upset Linda Leavitt unseated returning champion Rob Davis. Jennie Davis won the bobby prize.
